The official ball is now slightly larger than the one used for many years. In September, 2000, the official ball size was increased from 38 mm in diameter to 40 mm in diameter.
The old 21 point games are gone! A game is now to 11 points. Each player serves only twice before switching. You must still win by two points, so that a score of 10-all is deuce. Under the old 21 point games a typical match would be best of 3 or best of 5 games. Under the new rules, most matches are best of 5, and sometimes best of 7 games. This new 11 point game rule took effect in September, 2001.

- Rockstar Games has Table Tennis with XBOX 360 and Nintendo Wii
- Nintendo Wii has Table Tennis game(s) as well. While I haven't played anything but the Table Tennis that comes bundled with Nintendo Wii Play Games (Billiards, Laser Hockey, Tanks, Cow Racing, et. al.), I think Wii might also have Family Table Tennis in addition to Rockstar Table Tennis.
